Tk394cr in 31 bank accounts of Hasina, family members seized
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has seized Tk394,60,72,805 held in 31 bank accounts belonging to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members. The family members include Hasina`s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, sister Sheikh Rehana, and members of Rehana`s family. ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain disclosed the information at a press conference held at the commission`s headquarters in Dhaka, today (18 March).

Court freezes 163 bank accounts of Nayeemul Islam Khan, family members
A court today (18 March) ordered to freeze 163 bank accounts of Nayeemul Islam Khan, former press secretary of the ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, his wife Nasima Khan Monty, daughters Labiba Nayeem Khan, Julika Nayeem Khan and Adiva Nayeem Khan, over graft allegations. Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Israel launched airstrikes across the Gaza Strip early Tuesday, killing at least 330 Palestinians, including women and children, according to hospital officials. The surprise bombardment threatened to wreck the ceasefire in place since January and fully reignite the 17-month-old war. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he ordered the strikes because of a lack of progress in talks to extend the ceasefire. Officials said the operation was open-ended and was expected to expand. ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain shared the development based on a complaint while briefing journalists this afternoon (17 March).
