A court has ordered to seize flats, pieces of land and houses owned by former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Daughter Saima Wazed Putul, Sheikh Hasina`s sister Sheikh Rehana, her son Radwan Mujib Siddique, and daughter Tulip Rezwana Siddique. Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order on Tuesday, allowing a petition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Students stage sit-in at Shahbag demanding maximum punishment for violence against women
Students from 30 colleges in the capital are staging a day long sit-in at Shahbag, demanding the maximum punishment for perpetrators of violence, rape, and torture against women. Gathering in front of the National Museum from around 11:30am today (11 March), students arrived in small processions. Law enforcement agencies took a vigilant stance, deploying additional police personnel throughout the area.

Fire at Aminbazar Substation under control
A fire that broke out at the Aminbazar 400/230 kV Substation in Savar on Tuesday morning has been brought under control. Nine firefighting units managed to control the fire by 9:15 am, said Shahjahan Sikder, Deputy Assistant Director of the FSCD Headquarters Media Cell. The blaze had started at the grid around 7:15 am.
