Eighty-one people have been arrested in Gazipur on the third day of ongoing drive `Operation Devil Hunt.` With these, a total of 261 people, suspected to be activists of the fallen Awami League, have so far been arrested. Of them, 80 and 100 were arrested on the first and second day respectively. According to police, Monday night`s arrests included 12 people from five police stations in Gazipur district and 69 from the metropolitan area.

Bangladesh has asked Adani Power to fully resume supplies from its 1,600-megawatt plant in India after more than three months of reduced sales, a Bangladesh official said, when supplies were halved due to low winter demand and payment disputes. Adani, which signed a 25-year contract under former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in 2017, has been supplying power from its $2 billion plant in India`s Jharkhand state.

Fire has gutted valuables at a plastic recycling factory in the capital`s Kadamtoli area. Warehouse Inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence Anwarul Islam said the fire broke out around 5 am on Tuesday. On information, seven units from Postagola, Sutrapur amd Siddiqbazar rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 7:20 am, he said.

Actress Zerin Kashfi Ruma received Television Reporters Association of Bangladesh (TRAB) Awards 2025 in Theatre category on February 8 at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon.
