No country allows a reset without accountability. The Interim Government represents the will of the Bangladeshi people who will react to the protest by the killers."

A Dhaka court has sentenced Mohammad Rassel, managing director of e-commerce company Evaly, and his wife, chairman Shamima Nasrin, to two years in prison in absentia in a fraud case. Train services across Bangladesh have resumed countrywide after railway running staff withdrew their strike in the early hours today (29 January). However, the services met with delays in the Kamalapur Railway Station this morning. Between 6:30am and 11am, 13 trains departed the stations, with minor schedule disruptions, Kamalapur Station Manager Anwar Hossain told.

A court has granted a three-day remand for former Law Minister Anisul Huq and a four-day remand for former Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam in separate criminal cases linked to the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
