Ashfaq-ul-Islam appointed as acting Chief Justice

Dhaka Medical College Hospital administration has banned all forms of student politics.The decision was taken at a meeting of the college’s academic council on Saturday (10 August). An order signed by Dr Md Shafiqul Alam Chowdhury that quoted “It has been decided that all forms of student politics (Chhatra League, Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Shibir and any newly formed student organisations) are permanently banned from the Dhaka Medical College campus, the Shaheed Dr Fazle Rabbee Residential Hall, and the Dr Alim Chowdhury Residential Hall.”

Passenger plane crash in Brazil kills all 61 on board
