Police of Australia`s State of New South Wales (NSW) said on Sunday that three children, one ten-month-old girl and two boys aged two and four, were dead in a fatal house fire in western Sydney. Three people remain trapped after a water inrush occurred on Sunday (7 July) morning at a coal mine in Taiyuan, the capital of north China`s Shanxi Province, according to local authorities. Fruit prices at Karwan Bazar in the capital are somewhat lower compared to other markets. This is why Nazmul Islam, an employee of a private company in the Bangla Motor area who lives in Mogbazar with his wife and three children, came here yesterday afternoon after work to buy fruits. Despite coming for local fruits, Nazmul struggled with the high prices. He initially wanted to buy 5-6 kg of mangoes but, due to the cost, only purchased 4 kg. The fresh design approval rate has halved due to the newly issued Floor Area Ratio (FAR) and Detailed Area Plan (DAP) by Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK). Usually, 18,000-20,000 plans used to be passed in the capital every year, which has now reduced to 8,000-10,000. After being battered by heavy rainfall and the onrush of water from upstream for the past few days, water levels of the Brahmaputra and Ghagat rivers in Gaibandha have started to recede from Saturday (6 June). According to the Gaibandha Water Development Board, the water level of Brahmaputra river at Teestamukh point of Phulchhari upazila decreased by 4cm in the last 24 hours and was now flowing 84cm over the danger mark. Besides, the water of Ghaghat river is flowing 34cm above the danger level even after decreasing by 4cm at the new bridge point of the district town.
