Over 40% construction completed Metro` s Motijheel-Kamalapur section

Over 40 percent of the construction for the Motijheel to Kamalapur section of the Dhaka Metro Rail project has been completed, with significant progress reported. The section, expected to commence operations by December 2025, is currently the focus of intense construction efforts. Specifically, 25 out of 30 pillars for the metro station have already been erected, and the remaining pillars are slated for rapid completion. To accommodate the metro rail construction, one lane of the Kamalapur-TT Para Road will remain closed for the next six months, according to the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).

Seva Hospital of Dhap area of Rangpur has been sealed by the mobile court due to it’s illegal operation. At the same time, the authorities were fined one lakh Taka. On Monday (24 June) afternoon, Rangpur District Administration Executive Magistrate Mahmud Hassan Mridha ordered the hospital to be sealed and fined. Members of Rangpur Metropolitan Police were present at the time. Executive Magistrate Mridha said that the Seva Hospital authorities could not show any valid documents during the raid.
