From tomorrow TCB will sell onions at Tk40 per kg

Through open market sales (OMS) on trucks the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will sell onions imported from India for Tk40 per kilogram from Tuesday (2 April). Md Humayun Kabir, head of TCB`s regional office and information officer told that State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu will inaugurate the programme at the TCB Bhaban in Karwan Bazar. Last night Bangladesh received 1,650 tonnes of onions from India.

Minor boy killed in Dhaka road crash

A 10-year-old boy was killed in a road crash in Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar area on Sunday (31 March) morning. The deceased was identified as Mashruful Hasan, son of Md Mamun of Noakhali district. Quoting Tanvir Hossain, a pedestrian, Inspector Bachhu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp, said the accident occurred around 11 am when a goods laden van ran over the boy as he fell on the road after being hit by a human hauler while crossing road, leaving him injured.
