A transport worker died after falling in the Padma River in the Daulatdia upazila of Rajbari on Friday (29 March). The incident happened at 7:00 am at the Daulatdia Launch terminal. Police have arrested four people over the death of a school student in Natore. The deceased was Himel, a class nine student at Patul-Hampania High School in Naldanga upazila of the district. The United Kingdom`s gross domestic product (GDP) fell by 0.2% in the fourth quarter of 2023 year-on-year, while in quarterly terms, the decline accelerated to 0.3% from 0.1% in the third quarter, which signals the economy has gone into recession, the UK Office for National Statistics said in a report published on Thursday (28 March). "UK gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to have fallen by an unrevised 0.3% in Quarter 4 (Oct to Dec) 2023, following an unrevised fall of 0.1% in the previous quarter … Compared with the same quarter a year ago, real GDP is estimated to have fallen by 0.2%," the report said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Wednesday (27 March) that if F-16 fighters given to Ukraine are used from third-party territories, they`ll be legitimate targets for Russia, no matter where they are. "If they are used from airfields of third countries, they become a legitimate target for us, no matter where they are," Putin said during a conversation with military pilots in the Tver region.
