5 dead as bus hits microbus in Gopalganj

Five people were dead when a bus rammed into a microbus on Faridpur-Barishal highway at Chagolchira in Maksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district on Wednesday (20 March). The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. The accident occurred around 10:45 am when the Dhaka-bound bus hit the microbus, leaving five people dead on the spot and several others injured, said officer-in-charge of Maksudpur Police Station, Asraful Alam.

Gazipur gas cylinder blast : Death toll now 14

Death toll from the gas cylinder blast in Gazipur’s Kaliakair upazila went up to 14, as another burn victim died early Wednesday (20 March). The deceased was identified as Kamala Khatun, 65. Kamala, who received 80 percent burn injuries, breathed her last around 4:30 am at the ICU of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said Tariqul Islam, resident medical officer of the hospital.

Adani Group to invest $14 bn in FY25
