14 KCCI teams to monitor kitchen markets in Ramadan for price stability

A total of 14 teams of Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) were formed to monitor the 22 city kitchen markets to keep the price of essentials stable and to resist the dishonest traders during the Holy month of Ramadan. The decision was made on Monday in a view-exchange meeting with KCCI Directors and leaders of different kitchen markets held at the conference room of Chamber Building with its President Kazi Aminul Haque in the chair, said a KCCI press release here last night.

Commerce ministry fixes prices for dates

The Ministry of Commerce has fixed prices of dates, an Iftar item. According to a notice issued on Monday (11 March), the ministry has fixed the price range for low-grade dates at Tk 150 to Tk 165 per kilogram. Besides, the price of Zahidi dates, which come in sacks, has been between between Tk 170 and Tk 180 per kilogram.

4 dead in accident on Dhaka-Ctg Highway in Cumilla

Four people were killed and three were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Chandina upazila of Cumilla early Tuesday (12 March).
