15th anniversary of Pilkhana carnage today

The 15th anniversary of the atrocious carnage at the Pilkhana BDR (now BGB) headquarters in the capital will be observed on Sunday (25 February). A total of 74 people, including 57 army officers, were killed in the carnage beginning on this day in 2009. 20 people injured as bus overturns in Dinajpur

At least twenty people were injured as a bus overturned in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district on Saturday (24 February). The identities of the injured people could not be known immediately. The Panchagarh-bound bus of ‘Tahmina Paribahan’ overturned around 5 pm after its driver lost control over steering, leaving 20 people injured, said Mojibur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) Birganj police station.
