At least three people were killed when a truck rammed an easy-bike in Shilabristi filling station area of Kaliakair on Dhaka-Tangail highway on Monday (19 February) morning. The deceased were known as Jahidul Islam, son of Abbas Ali, Mabzel, son of Ieakub Ali, Shawkat Ali, son of late Hasan Ali. The fire at Jhilpar slum of Mirpur-12 in Dhaka on Monday (February 19) has been fully doused. The fire broke out at a one the shanties of the slum around 12:57 pm and spread soon, said Lima Khanom, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD). On information, eight fighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 2:55 pm, said duty officer Rashed Bin Khaled of FSCD.
