ADB commits record climate finance of almost $10 bln for Asia

1st phase of Biswa Ijtema begins Friday
The first phase of three-day ‘Biswa Ijtema’, a large congregation of Muslims in the world, is set to begin on Friday (2 February) morning on the bank of the Turag River in Gazipur`s Tongi. Over 10,000MW power in 29 projects in the pipeline

Ambassador of Palestine to Bangladesh, Yousef S. Y. Ramadan, on Thursday (1 February) said that the recent ICJ ruling gives a sense of optimism after 75 years of struggle, noting that they need to build on that. "It`s a first step on the way....we can build on it," he said while speaking at DCAB Talk at Jatiya Press Club. Suspects set to get outfitted with body-worn cameras
To combat the theft of passengers` belongings and ensure the integrity of the services, suspected civil aviation workers from two organisations will be equipped with body-worn cameras while on duty. A hundred cameras have already been procured from Japan, with an additional thousand cameras slated to arrive shortly as part of the initial phase. This initiative is set to commence imminently.

150 people are killed in Gaza in 24 hours
