Benapole Express Fire: 6 including BNP leader arrested

Six people including Nabiullah Nabi, joint convener of Dhaka south unit of BNP, were arrested in connection with Friday’s arson attack on Benapole Express train in Dhaka’s Gopibagh area that left four people dead. The identities of the other arrestees could not be known immediately. Chief of Detective Branch (DB) of police and also the Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Harun-or-Rashid, shared this information while speaking at a press briefing held at DMP media centre on Saturday (6 January).
