Ten countries including Bangladesh, Bhutan, North Korea, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Timor-Leste participated in the voting. Saima Wazed has received 8 votes while Dr Shambhu Prasad Acharya, nominated by Nepal, has received 2 votes.
